NEXT week 21

Hello everyone. NEXT is a new music that plays for one hour. It is sponsored by Snapple and you can hear it at 1071thepeak.com. It plays tonight and ever Wednesday at 11pm EST and it repeats on Sunday nights at 8pm.

NEXT is also an iMix. Go to iTunes and search for an iMix named "next week 21". There you can get all the tunes this week except for Paulo Nutini...which you search out. Very catchy and one to watch.

The Playlist for NEXT.

Pilot Speed – Barely Listening (Into the West)
Listen for this song on EA Sport’s NHL 07 game. I think this song is about god or maybe a chick.

The Lemonheads – Become the Enemy ( No Backbone )
They are back after a decade apart. Look for the new album on September 26th.

Ben Kweller – Sundress (Ben Kweller )
This self titled cd is his third solo cd. On first listen it’s almost impossible not to like. modern day solo version of The Travelling Wilbury’s (volume 1) meets Paul Simon

Paolo Nutini – New Shoes (Live Sessions)
Born and raised in Scotland. He is 19 years old. Live Session out now was recorded in small clubs all over London. He has a studio album coming out later this year called These Streets.

Peter Frampton, Matt Cameron, Mike McCready – Black Hole Sun (Fingerprints)
More help from Frampton invited Rolling Stones Charlie Watts and Bill Wyman too. Allman Brothers/Gov't Mule slide slinger Warren Haynes and more… Soundgarden tune. Oh and it’s an instrumental cd too.

Kelly Joe Phelps – Don Quixote’s Windmill (Tunesmith Retrofit)
This cd marks a departure from, “music heavily driven by guitar to music that’s more driven by the song.” The Portland, Ore.-based musician admits, “… the record is stripped back in relation to the last two studio efforts…” this is cd number 6.

Yo La Tengo – I’m Your Puppet (I am not afraid of You and I will Kick Your Ass)
The band has been together for 22 years and this This is their 13th full-length album, excluding side projects. There is a reason they are beloved underground and this cd is just another one.

Bob Dylan – Spirit on the Water (Modern Times)
Love bob the poet rocker but this cd is no Time out of Mind or Love and Trust. Dylan last reached No. 1 in 1976 with his album Desire. His other chart-toppers were the 1975 classic Blood on the Tracks, and 1974's Planet Waves. He has become the oldest living person to launch a new disc at No. 1.

Jonny Lang – Anything’s Possible ( Turn Around)
The Guitar is still there it is but sometimes it’s a whisper yes it still screams but this cd is about a band. Making Turn Around the pivotal album of Jonny Lang’s career to date—a passage that links the triumphs of his past to the promise of his future. This is his fifth cd.

The Pink Spiders – Pretend That This Is Fiction (Teenage Graffitti)
the Pink Spiders really do have a lot to offer. A trio from Nashville, the swaggering Spiders blend hard-rock fury, punk abandon and new-wave song craft. Mostly produced by Former Cars front man Rick Ocasek. This is cd number two.

You've made it this far.
Video for you. Gay Boyfriend from The Hazzards.

More later
Bro
