Hope you had a nice weekend

Pernice Brothers streaming their latest. Live a Little. You should a fan of these guys.

Another guy you should be a fan of M Ward. I still like Transfiguration better but Post War just may be my top cd this year.

Sickboy syndrome. 5 comedians who've lost it.

You have got to see this video of Closer --unedited so a few bad words. Made by a fan and it is glorious. Best thing you will see this Monday morn. It is clips of Star Trek with the soundtrack of NINs Closer as the storyteller.

iPod full but not always with iTunes songs.

More later

the nin video was probably one of the best laughs i've had in a while. thank you for that. I must now share it with all of my friends who are in the spiral fan club. (i saw nin last november, such a good concert!)

i thought the sickboy list was soo true. my one flatmate was watching robin williams this past weekend and he was too hyper.

it's funny you posted something trainspotted related. just recently, i was thinking of renting it. I just found out that my roomate has yet to see it, which is blasphemy almost! especially since she's taking a class called "drugs, society and human behavior."

Hey Megs

Not seen Trainspotting?!? Yea you must fix that now. It's funny how film slips past people and years later you're in a conversation and that fact pops up. You stare at the person you thought you knew.*with mouth on the floor* Then you rent the movie and try not to say the lines before they hit the screen.

Awhile ago a group of friends would have movie nights and each person would pick a "classic". It always amazed me but no matter what the film was there was always someone that had never seen it. Even something like "The Princess Bride" or "Casablanca"

yes exactly! i have to laugh the last time i watched trainspotting was at my school's theatre. yes my school has its movie theatre. there were so many people there who had never seen the film before. I felt like such a weirdo sitting in the theatre, watching and reciting lines. hell, i even kinda sang along with the soundtrack.

i should start something like classic movie night. i am sad to say this, but i have yet to see casablanca, however, i have seen some other good stuff in the past. My last year at Frostburg State University, I took a few film studies classes. I had a very awesome professor. To keep things interesting, not only were we to watch films in class, but also watch stuff (of our choice) for papers. granted, they had to meet the assignment. I remember writing one paper on how John Waters was a real auture. I also wrote a paper on a scene in Wings of Desire!!! not to mention for my film theory class, i wrote a paper on trainspotting. Anyway, I think I can be forgiven for not seeing "Casablanca" yet. granted, i've seen more silent films than most normal people.

ps- if you ever want to read any of my essays/papers on films, let me know! i'll gladly send you a few.

I would love to read them and yes you are forgiven because anyone that has seen "Wings of Desire" gets into Chris Bro Heaven. It is a short list but all very cool people. I think you'd have fun.
