he was mine before you knew me

the last title was from Spiritualized and their tune "Do it all over again"

Oscar

Best Picture: alot of people are talking up Baby but I think The Aviator is going to take it. I think Sideways should win but it has no chance. If you're in Vegas take the long shot.

Director: Scorsese has never won. Never. I think it changes this year but if they give best pic to 1,000,000 dollar then Clint gets this one.

Actor: Foxx. Foxx. Foxx. Again Sideways gets screwed. Paul Giamatti was great. As always. I have a feeling he doesn't really care.

Actress: Swank. I loved Staunton but Hilary has my vote.

Supporting Actor: Freeman another person that hasn't won. What?!? So here you go Morgan. Again I say Sideways gets screwed. Haden Church was cool and Foxx again--that would just be too cool.

Supporting Actress: Sideways wins. Madsen gets it but I have a feeling that Blanchett will might steal this one. She was the best part of the Avaitor.

So there you go. Agree to disagree. That's cool. Enjoy Sunday.

Spoiler for Star Wars. a few pics of the movie. Or if you think you can do better. Plot-o-matic.

I spent way too much time here. No imagination.

Snow Patrol wins awards. Again. Please go get Final Straw. Close to perfect.
Snow Patrol Announce U.S. Theater Tour
James Gregory reports:If we learned anything from Braveheart (and it's quite likely that we didn't), it's that the Scots are hard-pressed for respect. That being said, routinely hyped Scottish quartet Snow Patrol have yet to catch their big U.S. break (in the wake of their acclaimed third album Final Straw), but an upcoming 23-date North American tour will attempt offer a mainstream-curing remedy for the melodic pop-mopesters (oh, it's a genre).

Snow Patrol's 2005 schedule also includes stops at two of the summer's most prominent festivals-- Coachella on April 30, and the Isle of Wight Festival on June 12. And we're not sure if this is newsworthy or whatever, but the band is scheduled to open a handful of European dates this summer for some Irish wankers called U2, who are out supporting their recent album, How to Dismantle an Atomic Bomb. Podcasting. Don't know what it is. You will soon enough. It's the future silly. A cool article about Adam Curry. Yes that Adam Curry. Former VJ at MTV. In fact the latest issue of Wired has a few very good articles about how you will hear music in the future. It is worth picking up. It is the one with a bullet through a radio.

MP3 of Hot Hot Heat's Goodnight Goodnight and live Pixies of Debaser and No 13 Baby. a better than decent mashup of Oasis and Green Day and Travis. How about one more. Longwave's River.

Say it isn't so. Jayhawks call it quits. They were one of my favs.

update on the new DMB CD. sounds good. I can't wait.

I know I have already mentioned this but it is ok to get excited. Yo La Tengo double CD.

The Razzies are back.

Wilco live. For fans only. duh. it's live--and only fans care about live versions

- I still think Marilyn Manson was Paul Pfeiffer in the Wonder Years and Billy Corgan was definitely the kid on Small Wonder.

Torn. Definitely worth watching.

Create your own comic. Gnomz.

after watching this animated short that is up for an Oscar I understand my dog so much better. The Guard Dog.

Everything I ever needed to know about history I learned from...Iron Maiden.

NME reports: JACK WHITE’s friend and collaborator BRENDAN BENSON has revealed that the pair have recorded an album together that has been compared to NIRVANA’s classic ‘NEVERMIND’.
The duo also plan to take the as-yet-untitled album, which could be out as early as this year, on the road.
The pair, who live just a few streets away from each other in Detroit, teamed up last summer to make the record in Benson’s home studio. Benson admits he’s ecstatic with the results but wants to get on with promoting his new solo album, ‘The Alternative To Love’ first, while White is likely to be busy in the next few months putting the new White Stripes album together.

I know this is late. Maybe for next year or to make up for blowing V Day this year. Say it in a song. Plus I love the title.

more later going on vacation but I'll be back
peace off
