You can listen to NEXT tonight at 11 at 107.1 The Peak. It is brought to you by Snapple. You can stream the show live at 1071thepeak.com. If for some reason you miss tonights viewing catch the repeat on Sunday night at 8.

Tonight's NEXT playlist
Annuals – Bleary Eyed (Be He Me)
From North Carolina a bunch of guys and a girl Given the sextet's kitchen-sink soundscapes the Arcade Fire comparisons were inevitable. If you like lullaby to hard rock freakout in under four minutes then this is your next new favorite band.

Beck – We Dance Alone (The Information)
If you want to see Beck live I hope you live in Japan…that’s where he’s headed.

Robbers on High Street – Monkberry Moon Delight (The Fatalist and Friends EP)
includes two previously unreleased tracks and two tracks from the Robbers’ forthcoming album (promised in early 2007). This song was written by Sir Paul.

View – Look (Self titled)
Formed in 2003 four lads that call SE Michigan home. They have a familiar punky folk rock feel to them.

Pearl Jam – Love Reign O’er Me (single)
This song will be in the new Sandler movie Reign Over Me but not on the OST. I think it’s a release for 10 club.

El Goodo – What Went Wrong? (Self Titled)
On their myspace site they intro themselves as “Stuck in the 60s” Want more? They are 5 guys from Wales. This is their debut CD.

The Killers – This River Is Wild (Sam’s Town)
Loose sloppy and very good in parts. Second CD from the band that came for Las Vegas

The Decemberists – Bandit Queen (Picaresqueties EP)
So they bolt to the big leagues so what’s a small label to do…release the outtakes. Still quite nice.

Medeski ,Scofield, Martin and Wood – Tequila and Chocolate (Out Louder)
About 10 years ago Scofield got MMW to back him on A Go Go. Let’s call this one a sequel.

Birdie Busch – Drunk By Noon (the Ways We Try)
Fun, quirky folk from Philadelphia. First CD. Plus I love the title.

Not as many YouTube's this week. The joys of playing tunes that travel under the radar. Enjoy.

More later
