An excellent week to rob a bank. Start with DRMC. Alot of people are ripping on them for this but I think it may be their best. It is different (some are asking Where's my Rock and Roll?) but this is acoustic yummies and pure American Roots goodness. The New Pornographers. Slow Wonder is better (Newman's second solo cd) but this is cd has very high expectations and it almost gets there. That means go get it and be very happy. If you are reading this and have no expectations for the new New Pornographers cd then backtrack and enjoy. I envy you as you get to listen to Slow Wonder (AC Newman) and Electric Version (New Pornographers) for the first time. I remember my first time. Pick up Delbert's latest and Minus the Bear (minus the funky song titles). Then head to the "V" section. Vanderslice and Veirs. Enjoy. There is alot.
